Midwifery was introduced into my life while living in Haiti. Witnessing the lack of access to maternal care sparked the desire to dive deeper into ways to make a difference. I moved to the Philippines to attend midwifery school while volunteering in a birth clinic serving women who find themselves in the lower classes of society. It was there where sex trafficking was intensely visible and a desire to join in raising a voice for those women who had none was born. I moved back to the States and finished my schooling and apprenticeship in Texas. Witnessing the birth of a family is one thing my heart never gets tired of.
My heart is to walk along side you + your babe in this season together. Pouring my heart into care through education, respect + relationship. Tikvah's desire is to help women who have been trafficked locally and internationally, and with your care, a portion will go to supporting women who have been rescued.
