Jodie Mayfield, CNM, APRN

Jodie is the founder and owner of Lawrence Birth and Wellness, a birth center in Lawrence Kansas. She has worked in many maternity settings over the last 20 years. She’s originally from the UK where she started her midwifery career and has been in the US since 2013. Whilst continuing her midwifery career in the US she qualified with a master’s degree from Philadelphia University in 2017 and has experience in high risk and low risk birth settings.

​She enjoys caring for women having physiological birth and offering women all options of care during childbirth. She is passionate regarding women’s rights and feels that women do not get enough options, support or education during pregnancy or birth. She is opening Lawrence birth and wellness to provide this and will be additional to the already established birth centers that we have here in Kansas. She is very excited to be opening the center, and starting a new chapter in her life, she looks forward to serving you. She has 2 teenage kids and Brian, her husband, is a native Kansan and they currently reside in Topeka.
